It’s a big honour for a Grade 10 student who attends Chippewa Secondary School. Victoria Zhou has been picked to take part in a summer program that focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The month-long program is offered at various universities across Canada.
In Victoria’s case, she’s hoping she can experience the program at the University of British Columbia. All students learn in March which university they’ll head to for some very competitive learning. The advantage of the program is that many students later qualify for internships and also scholarships.
