North Bay Fire is asking people to take some extra precautions because of the snow. Make sure hydrants near your home are cleared off, and that gas meter and appliance vents are free of ice and snow. This can lead to carbon monoxide issues.
Also check exit doors to make sure they are not frozen shut and that there is a clear pathway.
