A River Valley man didn’t fall for a scam telling him he’d won a West Jet flight.  Before releasing the prize, the con artist told the man he would need his credit card information.  But the intended victim got suspicious and hung up.  His call display showed the call came from River Valley but when he called the number a recording told him the number was not in service.  Meanwhile, West Nipissing police got a call from someone claiming to be from Air Miles. But when they called back the number, they also got a recorded message explaining that the number is not in service.
