Looking back at the first week of the Legislature, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says it was cynical at best. Fedeli says Premier Kathleen Wynne went out of her way to ensure Ontario voters missed major stories at Queen’s Park. One was the Progressive Conservatives calling a news conference at Queen’s Park to mark the anniversary of Elections Ontario catching the Liberals on the Sudbury by-election scandal.
Fedeli says Wynne knew about this event so she scheduled a news conference of her own to again talk about selling wine in grocery stores. What’s more, she held her event well away from Queen’s Park and Fedeli says that meant reporters missed what the Tories had to say. Fedeli says booze in grocery stores is nothing new but adds Wynne talks about so much that Toronto sees it as progressive.
