Winter road maintenance in northern Ontario remains a top concern for Temiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof.
In spring 2015, the Auditor General released a report identifying many issues including structural shortfalls on northern Ontario roads. The Minister of Transportation has since promised to improve the situation. A review of those changes will be done once winter 2016 is complete. Vanthof is asking for feedback from municipalities on any winter road issues they have been facing.
He submitted a letter at West Nipissing’s council meeting this week asking for feedback. Any individual who would like to provide feedback can also do so confidentially at John Vanthof’s office in Sturgeon Falls.
