It’s confirmed. The Sturgeon Falls Step Dance and Fiddle festival will not be happening this summer in West Nipissing.
Organizers Charlie and Brigette Lang announced they are retiring earlier this year. Now Mayor Joanne Savage says after a drop in participants, other community events will take center stage in the municipality.
Savage says the entire community is eternally grateful for the Lang family’s dedication to the festival and other community events for almost two decades.
