Nipissing’s Muskoka campus shutting down

Nipissing University’s Muskoka Campus is officially closing down in June.

Muskoka campus Dean Dr. Rick Vanderlee says the decision was necessary due to a sudden and unexpected drop in enrollment. There are currently 74 students enrolled in programs offered at the Bracebridge campus. University officials say these students will be able to continue their studies, with the majority being moved to the North Bay campus.

In terms of jobs, three staff members will keep their positions, four unionized members will be offered jobs in North Bay and one administration position is being listed as redundant.
