After almost 20 years, the Sturgeon Falls Step Dance and Fiddle Festival has come to an end.
Organizers Charlie and Brigitte Lang are retiring, and will not be holding the festival this summer. The event has been a staple in the Sturgeon Falls community for almost two decades, and attracted more than 20,000 people to the area every summer.
In an open letter, Charlie Lang says he’s enjoyed organizing the festival but it’s time to take a step back as a community volunteer.
