Police have laid charges following two car crashes in Sturgeon Falls today.
Early in the morning, a person was travelling south on Main Street when they got distracted, blew through a stop sign, and went crashing into a home on Third Street. The crash caused major damages to the house and car. The driver has been charged with careless driving. Police say it was not alcohol related.
The second crash happened at the intersection of King and Front Street at the four way stop. A vehicle ran a red light and while trying to avoid another vehicle, crashed into a cement structure on the north-west corner. The driver was charged with failing to stop at a red light. The structure only had some minor brick damage.
