The community of West Nipissing is working towards bringing a family of Syrians to the municipality.
The Neighbours Without Borders Committee is holding a meeting tonight to update the community on their progress. The group has been trying to raise $30,000 to bring a family of five to West Nipissing. Mayor Joanne Savage says the meeting will be open to the public and there will be guest speakers.
It’s being held in the council chambers and begins at 7:00pm.
