There’s an uncertain future for the Dionne home in North Bay. Chair of community services, Mark King says it can’t stay at the Highway bypass. And the city councillor adds one of two things will happen. Either the City will move the historic home or it will have to be demolished, something King says is tremendously upsetting.
A committee that was trying to relocate the Dionne home onto private and in Corbeil failed and disbanded. King says he tried holding the group together but wasn’t able to. King says if anyone has a feasible suggestion on how to preserve the home, he’s urging them to make a presentation to North Bay city council.
