The OPP is warning people about thin ice on Lake Nipissing.
Two people fell through the ice on their snowmobile yesterday afternoon. Luckily, they were able to pull themselves out of the water safely. The trail they were on was well traveled and near the government dock. The ice has shifted and it could be unsafe in other places as well.
Snowmobilers need at least eight inches of ice for it to be considered safe.
