West Nipissing council has thrown its support behind a new arts festival planned for Lavigne this summer.
It’s called the “Ladies in Waiting Music and Arts Festival”, and the organizing committee pitched the idea at last night’s council meeting. Mayor Joanne Savage says the group has already booked some entertainment for the event and feels it will be fantastic for the whole municipality.
The festival is scheduled to take place on August 27th. The municipality says they will do whatever they can to help with equipment and manpower.
