A domestic incident at a North Bay motel has led to several charges for a Bonfield man.
The 43-year-old old allegedly hit his girlfriend early on New Year’s morning, in the hotel room where they were staying. The victim left the room screaming and ran into the lobby, where police were called.
Meanwhile, the Bonfield man also left the room, damaged property in the hotel hallway and threatened an employee. As he was trying to drive away, he hit two parked cars and a telephone pole before crashing his vehicle into a snowbank on Delaware Avenue.
The man faces seven charges in total including domestic assault and impaired driving. The woman had non-life threatening injuries.
