Rail and bus mechanics at Ontario Northland will be heading back to work today.
The agreement between Unifor and the rail company was officially ratified last night. Eighty-eight per cent of members voted in the favour of the agreement. There will be an immediate wage increase for skilled trade workers followed by annual improvements of 2 per cent. Contracts expire on December 31st, 2018.
The new agreement affects nearly 200 employees at the rail company.
