The Tory MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka says the findings in a report from the Auditor General on the Ring of Fire doesn`t surprise him. In her report, Bonnie Lysyk says the Liberals still don`t have performance markers or timelines in place for the massive chromite project. MPP Norm Miller says this is something the P.C.`s have been saying for years.
Miller says since first being formed five years ago, a Ring of Fire Secretariat has spent $13-million and still has no results. Miller adds last year the Liberals formed the Ring of Fire Development Corporation. He says 15 months and half a million dollars later, this agency still has no representation from the feds, mining or Aboriginal communities.
