Two people hit by cars in North Bay

There were two pedestrian related crashes in North Bay yesterday. A 68-year-old woman was hit by a car at Cassells and Olive  just after 5:00pm. She had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. A 44-year-old driver has been charged with failing to yield.

A car also hit a man crossing the street at Fisher and McIntyre last night. Police say the man did not use the crosswalk, and crossed the road without looking. He had minor injuries and was taken to hospital. No charges were laid.

Meanwhile… Police have released an update after a 71-year-old woman was hit on McKeown Avenue Wednesday. A 68-year-old Rutherglen man has been charged with failing to yield. The woman suffered major injuries and was taken to hospital.
