We could finally get a taste of winter as a cold front moves through the area today.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for North Bay, West Nipissing and Mattawa. Hours of freezing rain is expected overnight, and travel might become difficult because of icy roads and reduced visibility.
That freezing rain will turn into snow tomorrow morning, then clear out in the afternoon. Environment Canada is monitoring the situation closely.
