KWG, one of the companies hoping to mine chromite at the Ring of Fire, is looking at how to move the ore out. The company has hired FSDI of China to study the feasibility of a transportation corridor to the site which includes rail capabilities. FSDI specializes in building railroads. The study includes how to accommodate two First Nations whose territory take in the KWG claims. FSDI expects to complete the study fairly quickly paving the way for all parties to start talking early next year on how to advance the project.
