Frozen pipelines unlikely this winter

Frozen water pipes shouldn’t be an issue in the North Bay area this year.

That’s according to Mayor Al McDonald, who says last year’s wet fall and severe winter made it unique conditions for pipes to freeze. He says it’s some that happens about every 25-year’s and this fall has been a lot drier than last year.

McDonald says there’s not much homeowners can do right now to protect their system. If you did have a problem last year, make sure you contact the city or your municipality to organize a “run-water agreement”.
