North Bay Police has investigated a complaint about some door-to-door salesmen in the the area.
The two men reportedly went to a North Bay home yesterday and asked to discuss water meters, payments and more. Police tracked down the men, and found they actually represent a legitimate Markham-based energy business that sells residential water softener products and carbon filters.
They are asking people to educate themselves about potential door-to-door scammers by visiting Consumer Protection Ontario online.
