It looks like many Ontarians are already prepared for another harsh winter in the north.
The Tire and Rubber Association says that they’ve seen an increase in demand for winter tires, and there’s been a 25% increase in winter tire shipments this season. Communications Manager Carolyn Goard believes the increase is because of a combination of factors.
The provincial government recently introduced a mandatory insurance discount program for drivers who use winter tires. The discount is an incentive to improve road safety and lower insurance premiums.
