Lockouts, strikes and layoffs have been plaguing North Bay over the last couple of months.
Now the Nipissing University Faculty Association, Unifor Local 103 and CUPE are calling on the provincial government to pay attention to Northern Ontario. They are hosting a solidarity rally outside MPP Vic Fedeli’s office this morning.They want Premier Kathleen Wynne to step up to the plate and intervene in current labor disruptions.
Over 190 employees at Ontario Northland have been locked out of the job and full time faculty at Nipissing University have been on strike for three weeks.
