It’s no secret that several films have been shooting in North Bay over the last couple of months.
One of the latest is called “Mum’s the Word”, starring Brooke Shields. The movie is the first in a series of 14 films, and the organizer hopes the rest can also be shot in the Gateway City. Mayor Al McDonald says the film business has a positive ripple effect on the economy.
Hotels are half full with production crews, local actors and actresses are being employed and contractors are being put to work building sets. McDonald says Porter Airlines flights to Toronto has also made the city more accessible for production crews.
