There’s a job fair today at Memorial Gardens. This is a follow-up to a similar job fair this past April which was a huge success. In the spring job fair, 700 people took in the event and talked to 50 employers in various sectors about working for them. Also, more than 80 percent of the employers found that the applicants were qualified for their work. And 84 percent of people taking in the event found the type of work they were looking for. Today’s job fair at the Gardens runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Employers are looking for both seasonal and long-term employees at today’s job fair. Judy Bechard released the numbers at this week’s city council meeting.
