Several health care workers from North Bay, New Liskeard and Sturgeon Falls are in Queen’s Park today.
They are among hundreds of people from across Ontario taking part in a ceremony  in downtown Toronto. The ceremony is in memory of 29 long term care residents killed as a result of violence from another resident in Ontario nursing homes.
The workers will also be raising awareness about the care and staffing levels available to long-term care residents. They are calling on the province to to legislate a four-hour daily care standard to make living in long term homes safer for residents.
