Stuart McCall of the Green Party is a big supporter of the Ring of Fire.
The Nickel Belt candidate says the chromite project can benefit the north’s economy. McCall says there needs to be infrastructure and rail service to the site before any mining company removes ore from the ground.
McCall is challenging Claude Gravelle of the NDP for Nickel Belt who is seeking re-election. Also going after Gravelle’s seat are Conservative candidate Aino Laamanen, Marc Serre of the Liberals and Dave Starbuck from the Marxist-Leninist party.
