The sale of Ontera cost the province nearly 61-million dollars.
That’s according to Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli after he reviewed the government’s Public Accounts. Fedeli says lawyers and consultants were paid over 6.5-million to advise on the sale. The telecommunications company was sold for 6-million.
Fedeli says he is hopeful the Auditor General can provide more clarity on the reported loss when she releases her upcoming annual report this fall.
