West Nipissing Police Service is investigating a stabbing in downtown Sturgeon Falls. There was an altercation between two men on William Street around 2:45 Friday afternoon and during the struggle one was stabbed in the leg and the forearm. The accused immediately fled the scene on foot while the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested in a private residence a short time later and charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats, and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in bail court Monday morning.
