CFB North Bay is commending one of its officers and two civilians who saved a woman last October from a house fire on the base. The civilians were contractors working on a neighbour’s home when they went into burning house and rescued two family pets. And a major at 22 Wing helped the homeowner escape through a second floor window. Seconds after Stephanie Roberts got out, the home was engulfed in flames. The trio received the Wing Commander’s Commendations for their heroic efforts.
