Weapons scare in downtown North Bay

A Callander man is facing numerous charges for using a replica handgun.

He allegedly threatened another man with the fake gun yesterday morning during a fight at a downtown North Bay home. The victim thought the weapon was real and ran.

Police were called to the scene and arrested the accused. They seized a plastic replica handgun and an ammunition clip as evidence. A 38-year-old man faces five charges including uttering threats, breach of probation, and using an imitation weapon.
