Meet the candidates event scheduled in West Nipissing

West Nipissing residents will have the chance to meet the people running to represent them in this fall’s Municipal Election.

Collège Boréal, the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce and the North Bay and Area Realtors Association are holding an informal Candidates Meet & Greet on Sept. 29.

From 5 pm to 7:30 pm, voters can talk with the West Nipissing mayoral and council candidates one-on-one, ask questions, and learn more about priorities and platforms.

Officials say the mayoral candidates will be located together, while council candidates will be organized by ward in separate classrooms.

They add there won’t be any formal speeches or moderated question period.

The event takes place at Collège Boréal on Main Street in Sturgeon Falls.

Election Day is Monday, Oct. 26.
