Record-breaking smile cookie campaign across the country

The Smile Cookie campaign may be over, but the smiles continue for over 600 charities and community groups across Canada and the United States.

Tim Hortons says a record-breaking $22.6 million was raised with the sale of the tasty treats this year.

Restaurant owners will be presenting their charity partners with Smile Cookie cheques in the coming weeks.

Recipients in our area include Community Living in West Nipissing and Mattawa, the North Bay and District Humane Society, Nipissing First Nation Health and Wellness and Evergreen Heights Education Centre.

“We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support for this year’s Smile Cookie campaign from Tims guests across Canada. Thanks to your incredible generosity we topped our previous Smile Cookie record,” says Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons.

More than $151 million has been raised since the first-ever campaign in 1996.
