Jim Belanger has been elected to represent the riding of Sudbury East–Manitoulin–Nickel Belt in the House of Commons, marking what he calls a historic win for the Conservative Party of Canada in Northern Ontario.
Belanger says he is deeply honoured by the trust the people of the riding is placing in him.
He adds the win belongs to every single voter who believed the region deserves a stronger voice in Ottawa—one that understands the challenges and will fight for real results.
Belanger credits the win to months of hard work, meaningful conversations at the door, and a groundswell of grassroot support across the riding.
He is also extending thanks to the other candidates, noting the importance of democratic engagement adding we may not always agree, but we all care deeply about the future of our region.
