DNSSAB creates online data portal

You’re only a click away from seeing homelessness Point-in-Time count infographics, ambulance call volumes or Ontario Works related data in our area.

The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board (DNSSAB) has created an online data portal with information it uses to help make decisions about planning, service delivery and advocacy

Information is also used to evaluate programs in a variety of service areas.

They include housing and homelessness, children’s services, social assistance and paramedic services.

“Providing public access to quality, timely data helps to engage the community on social issues while increasing public education and awareness of the DNSSAB, its operations, and the district’s communities,” says Mark King, DNSSAB Chair.

Officials say the data can also assist with local planning and research for other community funding applications, plans and proposals, and help mobilize the community around certain issues.

The portal can be found on the DNSSAB website.

Links to other relevant data from agencies such as Statistics Canada are also included.
