NNPCN live butterfly release takes place Saturday

The Near North Palliative Care Network (NNPCN) is getting ready to send “messages of love and memory” with its live butterfly release.

The 15th anniversary event takes place on Saturday, July 13 (11 am to 2 pm) at the Kiwanis Bandshell at the North Bay waterfront.

Officials say it’s a free and open celebration of life, for all families and communities around North Bay.

It will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook for those who can’t be there in person.

There will also be music, a BBQ, kids’ colouring contest, auctions, raffle prizes, and more.

All proceeds help ensure NNPCN can continue offering free bereavement, educational, and palliative care services across the Nipissing and East Parry Sound Districts.

Service areas include West Nipissing, North Bay and Area, Mattawa Region, Almaguin Region, Temagami, East Parry Sound, and more.
