One person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting at a residence in West Nipissing.
That’s according to Nipissing West OPP, who says on Wednesday, shortly after 5 pm, officers responded to a report of a shooting on Bradley Street.
A 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say investigators believe it’s an isolated incident and there’s no immediate threat to public safety.
They add the investigation’s in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time.
The public can expect a large police presence in the area, and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
