A Northern Ontario music band made it has far as the top 10 in the CBC’s quest for a new Hockey Night in Canada song. Despite not winning, Puckhogs say they’re proud to have hit the top 10. About one thousand individuals and bands took part in the online contest. The Puckhogs song was For the Love of the Game and the members are from Sudbury, Levac and Chris Leblanc of Sturgeon Falls. The winning entry came from Dave Gunning of Nova Scotia, with the song A Game Goin’ On. Gunning’s song will be recorded for a future Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.
