OPP have released the names of the men who died when a snowmobile hit a pedestrian in Sable – Spanish Rivers Township last Friday night. Dead are 58-year-old Royal Peters of Massey who was driving the sled and pedestrian 43-year-old Christopher Labelle of Webbwood. OPP say the snowmobile was travelling very fast on Lee Valley Road when it hit Labelle who was walking on the shoulder of the road. Labelle died at the scene while Peters died later in hospital. There’s no word on autopsies yet which were carried out a few days after the deaths. The investigation is ongoing.
