Officials with the Nipissing Parry Sound Student Transportation Services are apologizing for this morning’s system failure.
Officials say notifications of school bus cancellations were blocked as a result of an internal security issue, adding staff has worked on locating the problem when it was discovered just before 6:00 a.m. The issue has been resolved.
They add measures have been taken to increase the ability to communicate in a timely fashion, with changes to hardware and software along with working with service providers.
Officials say the morning’s issue was an isolated incident and steps are being implemented to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
