For a ninth straight month, the Labour Market Group (LMG) is reporting a ‘significant year-over-year decrease’ in job postings in Nipissing District.
There were 407 job postings in November, down over 21% from the same month in 2022.
When compared to October, the month-over-month figure declined 6.2%.
“This drop is likely attributed to normal seasonal trends for the district as the winter months approach,” states the LMG November Jobs Report.
The top five employers posting jobs included:
– North Bay Regional Health Centre
– Canadore College
– Near North District School Board
– Voyageur Aviation Corp
– Ontario Northland
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry followed by Retail Trade, with Educational Services rounding out the top three.
