CUPE workers at the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area have extended their strike or lockout deadline to August 15th. Negotiations are now scheduled for August 13th and 14th.
CUPE represents 11 workers at the Aids Committee who are trying to reach a first contract. They include social workers, outreach workers, medical professionals, and more.
The union says they have been trying to reach a first contract for over a year, and that the employer has not come to the table for months.
