The ‘significant year-over-year decrease’ in job postings continues in Nipissing District.
That from the Labour Market Group which says the 434 job postings in October marked the eighth straight month of significant drops.
The figure was down over 28% from October last year.
However, month-over-month the number of job postings was virtually unchanged.
LMG also says there was a 7.7% increase in unique employers posting jobs, compared to September.
The top five employers posting jobs in October include:
– North Bay Regional Health Centre
– Near North District School Board
– Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario
– District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board
– Nipissing University
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry, followed by Retail Trade.
Educational Services rounds out the top three.
