14 local community service organizations are getting a financial shot in the arm by the federal government.
In total, the investment is over $620,000.
It includes nearly $100,000 to the Children’s Aid Society to invest in staff and volunteer growth and retention, over $95,000 to the North Bay Food Bank for some equipment and renovations, and more.
MP Anthony Rota says community service organizations are an essential part of any community and are often the first to identify and respond to emerging needs.
- The Children’s Aid Society for the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound receives $99,904 to invest in personnel (staff/volunteers) growth, engagement, and retention.
- The North Bay Food Bank receives $95,450 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- Amelia Rising receives $71,000 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- Warriors of Hope North Bay and Area receives $69,300 to invest in developing and redesigning organizational strategies.
- The AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area receives $62,684 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- The Cobalt Mining Museum in Cobalt receives $55,655 to develop and redesign its organizational strategies.
- Anishinabek Nation received $55,500 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- Les Compagnons des francs loisirs recieves $47,500 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- Nipissing Serenity Hospice receives $36,020 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- The PADDLE Program receives $27,139 to transform digital and data capacity.
- The North Bay and District Humane Society receives $18,500 to adapt and/or pivot existing programs and services.
- The Capital Centre receives $15,000 to invest in equipment, IT/digital infrastructure, and physical space.
- Discovery Routes Trails Organization receives $11,984 for personnel growth, engagement, and retention.
- The North Bay and District Multicultural Centre receives $10,000 to transform digital and data capacity.
He says this is important funding that will help all the organizations expand their reach and build a stronger community.
