Masks will once again be required in patient care areas and units at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC).
As of Monday, Nov. 27, officials say all patient-designated areas, like the Emergency Department, clinics, and medical imagining at NBRHC will also require masking.
Masking will remain optional in public and staff areas like hallways, nursing stations, break rooms and the cafeteria.
The new rule applies to all patients, care partners, visitors, employees, physicians and contractors.
They add the decision was determined by the current level of hospitalizations from respiratory viruses and community transmission.
