North Bay Police say robbers prey on homes that look empty, and people should do everything they can to keep their place from being a target. That includes installing a visible alarm system, and getting timers for your lights and other electronics such as televisions.
Police say it would also be a good idea to get a neighbour to collect your mail and bring in the garbage and recycling. If you see any suspicious activity in your neighbourhood, do not hesitate to contact police.
