Province invests over $900,000 in alternate level of care programs

Over $900,000 is on the way to three area facilities to support Alternative Level of Care and Patient Flow.

That’s according to MPP Vic Fedeli who announced the funding today.

The lion’s share of the funding, $655,000 goes to North Bay’s Casselholme for its “Supports to Home”, and $130,000 each to the Mattawa and West Nipissing hospital’s for a “Geriatric Emergency Management Nurse”.

West Nipissing General Hospital CEO, Sue LebBeau, says the nurse makes a difference in helping seniors get care and safely return home, where they want to be.
