An 82-year-old from Barrie is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 North yesterday.
The OPP says just after 12:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to the collision between a passenger and a commercial vehicle.
The passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the driver and a second passenger were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say the driver of the commercial vehicle did not sustain any injuries, adding the highway was closed for approximately three hours.
The investigation is still ongoing and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
