The Ministry of Transportation is funding a pilot project that will see a bus run between Mattawa and North Bay.
The new route will run along the Highway 17 corridor. It is thanks to collaboration between the Employment Services Table who locked down a 100-thousand dollar grant for the project, with help from the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board.
The program could be in place by September. It will then be assessed to see if it is necessary to the public.
