Feeding wild animals is a bad idea.
That is according to the Ministry of Natural Resources, who is warning North Bay residents against it. They say that feeding wildlife can attract unwanted predators to your home, put your property and small pets at risk, and increase the spread of parasites.
It can also be unhealthy for the animal, because people generally put out the wrong kind of food. They ask people to help keep wild animals wild by admiring them from a safe distance instead.
